Eastern Zone Rugby League Champions Shield
The team today was presented with their champions shield after wining the Eastern Zone Rugby League championship. It is a very special shield. It is one of only 300 in the world. It was made from recycled Rimu that was salvaged from the original Railway Stand at Carlaw Park before it was demolished in 2007. We are so proud of them. They will be competing in the Auckland Champions of Champions on September 22.

Mr. Savieti's service towards Glen Taylor School
Mr. Savieti had joined the school in 2001 as a Bilingual teacher and later took the role of the school caretaker. He coached the Tongan cultural group and the school band. He did so much when it is Tongan language week.
He helped all the staff with everything we needed. Mr. Savieti has produced great drummers and guitarists in his time with the school. You will be highly missed by all of us at Glen Taylor School. We will see you around as a grandfather and as an important/valuable member of our school. We wish you all the best in what you have planned for your future.
